Bonus Feature: Directors Commentary
This is the directors commentary that we did all together as a group. We overlaid our voices to our chosen sections, explaining how we did things as the directors, editors and producers. By doing this, it is clear that we put a lot of thought into every shot used to create meaning within our music video. This shows how the editing process came together to make a narrative that flows from beginning to end.

Poster Construction
Mock-up...
This is a mock-up I have made to show what I (and my group) want the poster to look like on a basic level. We have decided on making everything central like most posters like these do, to make the centre the main focal point. I have show the type of image the will be used; a full shot of the band as they face the camera, standing side by side with the girl vocalist standing at the front. I have also showed how I will be putting the twitter and facebook icons to indicate that they are on the social networking sites; more info there. There is also space to put the website link to which the viewers can go on. All the things I am planning to do has been influenced by real media products with our own unique spin to it.
First Draft ...
This is the first mock -up of the poster to which i have decided to place everything more on the left side than central. This has been done to create a unique look to it and because an audience reads from the left to right, it made sense to position things this way.
Construction Video...
(made by Sarah White)
This is a construction video of how the poster developed and changed from the original mock-up. A few more changes have been further made from this, such as the brick has been replaced with a blue/purple background to suit the other products, including the digipak and website we have made.
Website Construction
Design
First Draft
(made by Stephen Airey)
The final product was made on wix.com, by one of my group members, a website building site, which allowed us to use a template (which he then modified and adapted to fit the original designs). It also allowed us to add features which we hadn't considered, such as a live twitter feed (on the home page, bottom left). During construction, he managed add multiple pages (HOME, INFO, GALLERY, MUSIC, TOUR, CONTACT US), each with similar, but different features, including the scrolling gallery at the top, as well as embedded YouTube videos and SoundCloud music players. Not only did he manage to embed the SC music players, but changed the settings of the page, so anyone visiting the home page would be greeted by 'Rumor Mill', the song we produced the video for.
Digipak Construction
Mock-ups ...
Front Cover
Inside Cover
Disk Cover
Back Cover
This is the mock-up my group member has created before she created the final digipak. She did this so she knew exactly what she was going to do with it. We had decided to make it into a 4 sided digipak as we wanted to make it simple and not too fiddly for a consumer to be able to hold. Each section has been carefully organised with the objects and colours that will be used.
The Construction ....
(made by Agatha Torres)
This is the construction video she also made to show the progression from the mock-up to the final product. She has purposely used certain elements to show the genre and personality/ brand of the band, creating a professional looking and easily useable digipak.

Bonus Feature: Blooper Reel
(made by Stephen Airey)
This is a video that has been made by one of my group members showing the unseen footage behind our music video. We have done this to show the little mistakes/blips, funny shots etc, which we were unable to put into our music video. This shows the personality behind the music video as a a group of friends gang together and make a video together, having fun throughout.

Fonts Used for Final Products
Here, I have explained how and why we choose the fonts we used on our advertising poster, digipak cover and website. I have shown the problems we came across and how we resolved them. I did this to show the construction of the fonts for the products.

April 15th - 18th 2013
This week we finished the website, poster
and Digipak. Stephen also made the blooper reel and I did finishing touches to
my part of the music video, syncing everything, adding the production company
to the end and adding credits.
Final Product: Website
Link to Website
This is the link to our final product; band website. It is clear that we have gone with the same colour scheme as the rest of the products, showing how they link together. We have uploaded the final music video to it, so that the 'fans' can watch it when they want. There are updates for the band with posts and have uploaded the pictures from our photo-shoot. The song 'Rumor Mill' has been set to play when the page appears, creating the link to our music video project. This was made to 'advertise' our band and make a live connection to the target audience.
Final Product: Digipak
Full Product...
Here, I have put the whole product together to show all the parts as a whole and how they link to one another.
Front Cover ...
Inside Cover...
CD...
Back Cover...
(made by Agatha Torres)
Here, I have posted each individual image to show them full size. You can see that we have stuck to the colour scheme and brand look, making it look good with the other product. I came up with the name 'Difficult to Define' as it is catchy with the repetition of the 'd' sound , and because out music video is about going with the rumours and made up versions of themselves, highlighting how it is difficult to define someone by stereotypes. The images are from the photo-shoot as well as the narrative screenshot on the back to advertise the music video as well, focusing on the stereotypes.
Final Product: Digipak Poster
(made by Sarah White)
This is the final version of the digipak advertising poster I made. I have made sure to keep with the colour scheme and use the photographs we took at the photo-shoot. I put the digipak front cover as a picture onto it to show what is being advertised and made sure to put on a quote that I made up as a review for the album.
